You can. Simply by purchasing a wristband for $10 or attending the Songs for Darfur event on Sept. 15, you will help build a school for refugee children from Darfur. Songs For Darfur will feature live music, dance performances, guest speakers, and interactive awareness on two stages among the beautiful oak trees of Topanga at the компютри втора употребаTopanga Community House Fairgrounds in the Santa Monica Mountains. All proceeds will go towards building a secondary school in the refugee camp, Kounoungo in Chad. A secondary school may actually save lives by preventing young children from venturing back into Darfur in search of educational possibilities, where they are at risk of being killed or recruited as child soldiers. It will give them hope, education and the real potential to affect their own destiny. More event details
